10-12 January 2008,
Copenhagen, Denmark
A meeting took place (postponed from 8-10
November 2007) in Copenhagen. This meeting concentrated on water and climate
change. A visit to the field experiments at the CLIMAITE site was made.

27-29 May 2008, Norberg, Sweden
A seminar with emphasis on "Bioenergy and its consequences for
environmental services" is planned. Two field excursions will take
place: 1) to Riddarhyttan where
an
experiment is taking place with various treatments of wood-ash and
nitrogen as well as a combination of these; and 2) to Turbo where the effect of logging
residues removal are assessed on soil solution chemistry and plant
survival.

29-30 October 2008, Finland
CAR-ES met in order to plan the coming seminar in Koli Park,
Finland in September 2009. The participants actively worked on
a scientific article focussing on forest water and buffer zones.
